Thank you for your interest in Calvary Murrieta Christian Preschool. We look forward to serving your family through our early childhood education program. We are committed to meeting the needs of your preschooler through a caring and nurturing Christ-centered environment. We believe that children learn by actively participating, exploring, discovering, and doing exciting activities that spark their creativity. The CMCS early childhood educators provide a balance of social development and playtime, along with structured learning that includes the following fundamental instruction: Bible, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, music, art, literature, and gross and fine motor development skills. Most importantly, we apply Biblical integration to all areas of our program. It is our goal for students to graduate ready to excel into kindergarten.
Junior Kindergarten will be using Bob Jones curriculum which is consistent with our kindergarten through 8th grade programs and will allow them to easily transition into the elementary school. Preschool and The Little Warriors will be using Horizons Christian curriculum which will effectively prepare them to advance to the next grade level. All students will participate daily in Bible, phonics and math lessons.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our program is designed to engage children in active learning experiences that enhance their overall development. God is central to our educational approach and all teaching is Christ-centered.
Our program provides consistent, but flexible daily schedules that help children feel safe and secure. When the daily schedule suits the developmental and individual needs of the children, classroom life proceeds smoothly and is enjoyable for everyone. Our highly-qualified teachers provide a balance of playtime and structured learning opportunities. Children will spend time in both active learning of their own choosing; learning specific skills and information in small group settings with teacher direction and assistance, and participate in large group activities to build cooperative play with others. Children will participate in active learning through free choice play, exploring objects, ideas and nature, acting out roles, singing songs, reading books, using art materials, playing outdoors, and learning academic skills in structured small group settings.
At Calvary Murrieta Christian School our philosophy of education is based on the primary convictions contained in our “Statement of Faith.” The following statements identify principles that apply to the educational process when viewed through the perspective of faith. The basis of our philosophy is belief in God the Father, Jesus Christ our Savior, the Holy Spirit, and God’s Word – the Bible. We believe in the authority and reliability of the Bible as the complete and final revelation of God concerning all matters of faith, truth and practice.

We are a part of the overall ministry of Calvary Murrieta Church and exist as an outreach to the families and children in the community.
